There' still good movies nowadays, you just have to filter through the crap, something which time has done for the movies from the past, because trust me, there are a lot of old crappy movies too.

To a large extent, 70's movies had more of an 'edge' to them than todays movie-fare. There was a lotta risktaking that wouldn't pass nowadays.
In the 70's, as a kid, used to religiously watch "Little Rascals". Almost half of those old episodes are permanently canned, cannot be shown on TV anymore, because they're not "PC".
Hehee.... "PC" is gonna end society, not a "Rise Of The Machines".
